EVAC 23/9/11- Evicted Vagrants Adjourn from Cinema

Posted by Thom Diment On September - 19 - 2011

Oh Thom, you used “vagrants” in the post header again?
Get more creative!
A good point there, but one that could be better made at this week’s EVAC meeting, from 4pm to 8pm in the Margaret Murray Room, on the Western end of Level 4 of Union House (contrary to what you may have heard). Please note the change of location…back to the usual place.
All the usual favourites (and maybe something interesting, if you bring it) will be there, and we’ll be heading up to the markets for dinner afterwards, if we can fight our way through the protesters and counter-protesters in the mall.

If you have any questions, or want to let us know what you’re bringing along, drop us a line at the forum.

EVAC 9/9/11 – Endorses Videogaming Around Campus

Posted by Thom Diment On September - 5 - 2011

EVAC, Adelaide University’s console gaming club, is meeting yet again this week in the Margaret Murray Room, on level 4 of Union House (access by the Western stairs from the cloisters or the door at the back of the building opposite the Observatory). We’ll be playing a range of videogames that might not all be Naruto, and you can find out up-to-the-last-post information at the club forum.

If that’s not enough for you, there’s also the weekly FIFA tournament in the Unibar, or you could represent EVAC in the Clubs Cup playing Wii Sports, so there’s no excuse for not getting your dose of on-campus gaming in this week.

EVAC 2/9/11- Eminent Vagrants Attend Committee

Posted by Thom Diment On August - 29 - 2011

As well as the regular gaming meeting from 4 PM to 8 PM in the Margaret Murray Room, on Level 4 of Union House, Adelaide University; the new EVAC committee will be meeting during the communal dinner at the market food court. Thus, if you have anything to be brought up at the committee meeting, from recommending new purchases, ideas for promotion, or any other business, please let us know over at the forum.
See you at EVAC.

EVAC 26/08/11- Enabled: Vaccination Against Computers

Posted by Thom Diment On August - 22 - 2011

That’s right, the EVAC webforums have finally been cleared of that menace to civilized society, spambots, thanks to the efforts of our valiant and ever-vigilant web-vigilante, the mysterious personage known only as ‘TheClub’. That means that the EVAC forums are finally back up and running for you all to register and use free from attack (for now), just like the regular EVAC meet-up; which conincidentally is on this Friday from 4 to 8 PM in the Margaret Murray room, followed by dinner at the central markets food court. Drop in to the forum to discuss what’s going on this week.

EVAC 19/8/11: Everton, ‘Villa And Chelsea

Posted by Alethea Lim On August - 18 - 2011

Perhaps some soccer football fans spotted me playing Mario Strikers a couple of weeks ago and decided they’d bring a real football game instead, because I hear murmurs that there might be some FIFA ’11 at this week’s EVAC – on as usual on Friday the 19th from 4pm to 8pm in the Margaret Murray room.

As always, the first step to ensuring your favourite game gets played is to bring it along! Who knows, your game could spark the next club craze!

EVAC 12/8/11: Eggheads Vacillate and Curse

Posted by Thom Diment On August - 9 - 2011

But while they’re doing that, the rest of us will be having the long awaiting EVAC AGM in the Margaret Murray Room, Level 4 of Union House, Adelaide University. Please think seriously about becoming part of the committee.
The AGM will be over and done with shortly and the rest of the evening we’ll be back to playing all your favourite games until we leave at 8pm.
See you there.

Or, if curry isn’t your thing, one of the wide range of other dishes available at the Central Market Food Court, where EVAC members are invited to head to share dinner and conversation after the meeting finishes.

Hi all! This front page is looking a bit lonely. But don’t fear, unless we note otherwise on the forums, EVAC continues on as usual from 4-8 on level 4 of Union House every Friday. I’ll try to be more diligent about updating this front page too.

Anyway, this post is to inform you of a tournament we’ll be running in a few weeks time…
