EVAC 4/6/2010 – Eat, Vote, Adopt Constitution

We’ll be taking a break from the regular gaming heppening from 4 to 8 this Friday in Harry Medlin (South), Level 4 Union House, to have our Annual General Meeting. The meeting will happen at 6.30 pm and will cover the annual reports (please listen politely), the adopting of a new constitution (please read it) and the election of a new committee (please nominate).

You can only vote at the meeting and have a say in the future of EVAC if you’re a member of the club, so bring your membership money ($10 for UofA students, $15 for others), and become a member on the day. And don’t be afraid to stand for the committee positions if you’re interested. For details, hit the forum and we’ll see you there.

Who can save the Queen and the world economy from M.Bison’s evil plan? The inaugural EVAC SSFIV tournament is on this week (not next week), so bring your best game to the Harry Medlin Room (North) on Level 4 of Union House, Adelaide University from 4-8pm. <>

As well as all the regular gaming there will be a Modern Warfare 2 tournament hosted this week at EVAC, so if you’ve been waiting to show us your prowess on a shooter then this is your chance. The tournament will be happening at 6pm, right in the middle of our 4-8pm session in the Harry Medlin Rooms (North), Level 4 of Union House.

It’s actually kinda difficult to come up with a new topic every week for this newspost, V is not a particularly kind letter. Luckily, it is not difficult at all to turn up this Friday from 4-8pm to the Harry Medlin Rooms (Level 4 of Union House, Adelaide University) to get your weekly dose of gaming and gamers.

Another public service announcement from the people that bring you weekly gaming every Friday from 4 to 8pm at the University of Adelaide (This week in the W.P.Rogers room, Level 4 Union House).

Sorry for the late notice, but EVAC is definitely on this week, so come along for some good old-fashioned gaming and perhaps even a glipse of some shiny new game that was apparently released this week.

EVAC 23/4/10 – Everyone’s Vatical About Capcom

…But the time for wild speculation about SSFIV is nearly over, so we’re running a 32-person farewell tournament to Street Fighter Four this week in the Margaret Murray Room (NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION) , Level 4 of Union House.

We’ll be meeting as usual from 4-8pm, and all the other normal gaming will still be going on. If you’re planning on entering the tournament, we’ll have brackets starting at 5.30 and 6.30, so you’ll need to get there by 6.25 at the latest to be assured of getting a spot in what will be the largest EVAC tournament ever. This public service announcement is brought to you by your local video games club, who’re meeting in the Union Cinema (Level 5 Union House, Adelaide Uni) from 4-8pm this Friday.That’s not to say we won’t appreciate any hugs that are forthcoming.
Just regular everyday gaming and nerdery this week, with some of your favourite games, provided your favourite games are Street Fighter, Naruto, Tetris, Smash Brothers, or you were clever enough to bring something you actually like along. That’s right, due to popular demand EVAC is back this week, taking up residence again in Union Cinema, and we’ll be running all our regular gaming as well as Street Fighter: Third Strike and Naruto:Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 tournaments.

Ayup, we’ll be meeting in the Union Cinema, Level 5 of Union House, from 4pm to 8pm both this week and next week, so be alert but not alarmed or you’ll end up in the wrong place. Check out the forums for more details and to ask any questions. We hope to see you there.
